Homemade Creamy Avocado Mayo Sauce

Homemade Creamy Avocado Mayo Sauce

Mona Ijaz
This avocado sauce is like a cross between both mayo and guacamole, then lime in the sauce gives a feel of luxury, and your mind says, “hey, let’s party”. It’s perfect for wraps, sandwiches, tacos, or even as a dip for crispy fries.

Ingredients

1–2 ripe avocados (creamy base and nutrients)

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (or lemon juice, to add tang and prevent browning)

2 tablespoons olive oil (helps create that classic emulsion of oil + avocado, giving mayo-like texture)

1 small garlic clove (optional, adds depth)

¼ teaspoon salt + pinch of black pepper (to taste)

2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess; leave out for a vegan avocado sauce)

Cilantro leaves (optional, for a fresh avocado cilantro lime sauce twist)

Instructions

Scoop the avocado flesh into a blender or food processor.

Add lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and seasoning.

Blend until smooth, rich, and creamy.

Adjust: If too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water or extra lime juice. If too thin, add half an avocado.

Chill for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
